“Alex is so happy at Indiana University. IU would never have been on his college list if not for CollegeReady. When he began working with CollegeReady, he had many interests but no real direction. He found his place in the emerging field of Informatics and he found his second home in Bloomington … and especially on the drum line of the Marching Hundred. He’s able to pursue a degree in an exciting field, while still enjoying his other interests in a place he loves. Thank you, Bethany and Jeanne!”

Lauren, Bill and I can't thank you enough for the information and direction you provided during Lauren's college search.

Lauren's two older sisters (now graduates of Otterbein College and Miami University) did not benefit from the assistance of your service for their college selection.  The process of selecting their schools was bumpy -- uncertain and misguided.  While they both had good results, there is no comparison to the focused search for Lauren.

In the beginning of working with you, Lauren's only criterion for college was that it be located in Boston.  The thorough questionnaire and interview you required Lauren to complete helped her to understand more about her interests, academic strengths, school enrollment size comfort and potential college majors.  In the end you provided us with a comprehensive analysis of many schools, both in Boston and surrounding areas, and Ohio options as well.  Your data included specific information about the strengths and cost of each school, as well as Lauren's prospects for being accepted.

As you know, Lauren is a sophomore at Northeastern University in Boston.  Prior to working with you, we had not even heard of Northeastern.  While accepted at several schools, including Boston College and Boston University, we chose Northeastern for its unique experiential learning program well suited to Lauren's major (biomedical physics and mathematics), campus size, and of course, its proximity to Boston.  Lauren is close to carrying a 4.0 GPA and will soon be assisting with a research project funded by the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  We are all very happy with her school selection.  Our investment in your guidance is the best investment we've made on Lauren's behalf.

It is July 11, 2008. I have spent the entire morning in front of the computer shopping online for those hard to find XL twin bed linens and all of the things Elizabeth will need to make her dorm room her home away from home. It got me thinking about the process that led up to this point and why I can afford Pottery Barn over Target!
Working with you, Bethany and Jeanne, was such a wise decision and worth so much more than the cost of your services. There were many benefits partnering with you through the college selection process.

  • For Bernie and for me, it was nice NOT being the ones nagging Elizabeth about deadlines. What a relationship saver! You kept her on track and focused.
  • It was beneficial to Elizabeth that we were NOT the ones to critique and proofread applications and essays. As parents, I think we tend to want to re-write things to reflect who we think our children should be, or worse to reflect who we are!
  • We appreciate the time you took getting to know Elizabeth and matching her personality, goals and accomplishments, and wants to different universities. Indiana University wasn't even a thought until you brought to our attention their great journalism school and the big university in a small town atmosphere Elizabeth wanted. She loves Bloomington, the beautiful campus, and the professors she's met thus far, and so do I. It's so much easier letting go when we feel so comfortable with where she is going.
  • I don't know what we would have done without your help finding scholarship money! The scholarship is a wonderful gift, and I honestly don't know if we would have found it on our own - or what if we had discovered it after the early application deadline? I shudder at the thought.

Elizabeth worked so hard to be included at the top among the best and the brightest, and with your help she is able to benefit greatly from the fruits of her labor.
